To further improve student safety, Taxi Kaijer has implemented a warning sign that is seamlessly integrated with the Cabman MDT. “We were looking for a solution that would make student transport even safer, and this system provides an additional warning to other road users in order to prevent accidents,” explains Bjorn Heinsius from Taxi Kaijer. “When the driver arrives at the destination, he or she can click on ‘get out’ in the MDT. At this point, the warning sign on the back of the vehicle starts flashing, alerting other road users that children are getting out of the vehicle. A simple but effective way to ensure safety.”
The signs have been specially designed in conjunction with Cabman, and the Cabman MDT has a special module that does not require any additional equipment in the vehicle. Although there is no legal requirement for this type of system, Taxi Kaijer sees the benefits immediately in practice. The municipality in particular has praised the extra safety measure. “The municipality is very pleased with the system because it contributes to a safer environment for all road users,” says Heinsius.
