The app for parents and guardians of children in school transport

The MyRoute app is designed specifically for parents and carers of children using school transport. The app allows you to report absences, view rides with ETAs and send push notifications, among other things. How does it work and what exactly is included in the app? We are happy to explain.

Viewing journey information, pick-up time and ETA

The MyRoute app makes it very easy to view the latest journey information. Users can see which rides are planned for each child. The pick-up and drop-off addresses are clearly displayed in the app. The time at which the child will be picked up is also visible in the app.

The app also shows an ETA for each ride. This way, the app user always knows when the child will arrive at the destination. The user also receives a push notification when the driver is on the way to their address.

Reporting absences and holidays

Reporting a child’s absence and holidays is easy through the app. A button on the main screen makes it easy to submit a sick note and it is immediately sent back to the centre.

It is also possible to report planned absences via the app. This includes holidays or short absences for a dentist’s appointment, for example. This way, the user can pass this on easily and in time, and the switchboard can take it into account.

Sending Push Messages

It is easy to send a push message to all participants or to specific participants on a single route. For example, if there is a red code, which means that the transport cannot run.

Create an account

It is very easy to create an account for the MyRoute app. The customer receives an e-mail or letter from the transport company with instructions on how to download the app. The customer then logs in with his/her e-mail address and the name(s) of the traveller(s). In the agenda package, travellers are added with their e-mail address and name. The link between the agenda pack and the app then ensures that users receive rides and status updates. It also allows travellers to create absences.

Users can also easily invite other users, such as another parent or carer, to use the app. By sharing their email address, they can then register via their smartphone. Participants (children) can also be easily linked to the account.
